Panaewa Community - [UbiHub] Hi-Speed Router Placement

We have proudly supported the implementation of cutting-edge technology to enhance internet access in the Panaewa community. In collaboration with Kokua WiFi and other partners, we have installed UbiHub WiFi 6 Access Points, providing high-speed public WiFi with smart streetlight control, 12 embedded antennas, and the fastest wireless performance available.

The need for reliable internet is critical, especially as COVID-19 has shifted learning and work to home. Many families in our community face challenges with broadband availability, affordability, and speed, disrupting education and daily life.To address these challenges, our partnership project is introducing a pilot program at Panaewa Park, offering free high-speed internet access to all community members without financial input from the County of Hawaii or its residents.

This pilot project aims to evaluate long-term solutions to connectivity issues, improving educational opportunities, public services, and community connections.
