"Hoʻoulu a Hōʻike i ka ʻIke - Cultivate and Showcase Knowledge"
Moku o Kohala Scholarship Program
At Hale Mua, we believe in investing in the next generation of leaders and changemakers. That's why we're thrilled to announce our scholarship program, designed to support deserving youths from the Kohala, Waimea, and Waikoloa areas as they pursue their higher education dreams.
Thanks to the generous support of the McKinley Educational Initiative, spearheaded by President Tammy Rix, we are able to offer scholarships annually. These scholarships are awarded to students attending either a 2-year or 4-year college who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to academic excellence.
As part of our mission to uplift our community, funds received by the foundation are channeled to The Royal Order of Kamehameha - Moku o Kohala for distribution to deserving students. Additionally, these resources are utilized to support various Hawaiian cultural programs across North and South Kohala, enriching our island's cultural landscape.
